Auntie Babe's Baked Ribs

Ingredients

8 Pounds of Short Ribs
1 cup Ketchup
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 cup Vinegar
2 Tbsp. Corn Starch

Directions

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a shallow baking dish.

Place ribs in the prepared baking dish, Salt and pepper to taste,

Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven. Drain excess fat.

Reduce the oven temperature to 325 degrees.

In a heavy sauce pan combine sauce ingredients. Heat to boiling.

Pour over the ribs and return to the oven. Bake 60 minutes, turning the ribs and spooning the sauce over them as necessary.

Yield: 6-8 sevings.

Variation: Bake the ribs in the oven for 20 mintues and drain excess fat. Combine ribs and sauce in the crock pot and cook on high for 4-5 hours or on low for 8-10 hours.
